Course Descriptions
NRA Gun Training & Gun Safety
The NRA Gun Training and Gun Safety Training Courses are designed for those interested in gaining a basic working knowledge of firearms, firearm safety and shooting fundamentals. The NRA Gun Training and Gun Safety Training Courses are for children (age depends on maturity level); first time firearms purchasers; those with an interest in improving their shooting skills and those that are simply wiping the dust off firearms that have been passed down from generation to generation. Course participants receive NRA Gun Training and Gun Safety Training Course student manuals and other educational materials. Please click HERE for more information.
When a student completes an NRA Gun Training and Gun Safety Training Course, that student may return to the same course at any time with no money due to the Academy for sitting in. Ammunition, targets, supplies and range fees not included for sit-ins. Returning students to NRA Gun Training and Gun Safety Training Courses may bring their own firearm and ammunition to reduce the cost. Returning students must also pre-enroll.
California Hunter Education Course (Hunter Safety)
Completion of the California Hunter Education Program is required to obtain a hunting license. Safety First Firearms Academy is one of California's leading Hunter Safety course providers.
